LPHT
LPHT, or Low Pressure Hydraulic Tools, have been around for quite awhile but are not as well known as their counterparts. LPHT uses hydraulic oil circulated through a tool circuit at approximately 3 – 8 gallons per minute (GPM) and 1,000 – 2,000 pounds per square inch (PSI). Low Pressure Hydraulic tools are connected via hydraulic hoses and coupled to a power source. A variety of Power Sources are available including gasoline/diesel hydraulic power packs, hydraulic tool circuits on bucket trucks or perhaps a Power Take Off (PTO) from a service vehicle. The beauty of LPHT tools are their simplicity of controls, ergonomic designs and high power to weight ratio, which makes them extremely efficient.
