HYGROUND®

Looking for a safe, cost-effective and time-efficient grounding method? The HYGROUND® irreversible compression grounding system is a complete system of connectors for cross-grid connections, taps, splices, cable to ground rod, ground plates and terminations. Acceptable for direct burial in earth and concrete, HYGROUND® is UL 467 and 96 Listed, CSA Certified and IEEE 837 tested.

Product Solutions

Terminals (Bolted, Welded and Compression) Copper and aluminum terminal connectors are used for joining copper or aluminum tube conductors, and aluminum and copper cable conductors to flat equipment pads. Depending on the field application requirements, BURNDY® has or can engineer configurations to accommodate your needs.		Bus Support (Bolted and Welded) Bus supports are offered in high copper and aluminum alloy, and are used for mounting a wide range of cable or tube on post or pedestal type insulators. Bus supports can be used in both horizontal and vertical conductor configurations.		Stud Connectors (Bolted and Welded) Copper and aluminum stud connectors are used in transformer applications. The connector is designed to accommodate copper or aluminum pipe conductors, copper of aluminum cable conductors, or terminal mounting pads. Bus supports can accommodate conductors in both vertical and horizontal configurations.
Couplers (bolted and Welded) Copper and aluminum terminal connectors are used for joining copper or aluminum tube conductors, and aluminum and copper cable conductors to flat equipment pads. Depending on the field application requirements, BURNDY® has or can engineer configurations to accommodate your needs.		T-Connectors / A-Frames (Bolted and Welded) T-connectors / A-frames are offered in high copper and aluminum alloy. T-connectors are used for joining tube-to-tube, tube-to-cable, cable-to-cable, tube-to-cable to a flat pad in a run-and-tap configuration as well as to accommodate a bus bar. A-frames are designed for tube-to-tube connections in a run-and-tap configuration.		Rigid Spacers, Shielding Caps and End Bells BURNDY® offers rigid spacers to accommodate various conductor-spacing ranges. Our Shielding caps cover hardware when bolting terminals to flat pads singly or back-to-back. Our end bells close the end of tube sealing out moisture, reducing electrostatic loss and eliminating hazards created by nesting birds.

Application Tooling

	The PATRIOT® IN-LINE® PATMD6-14V hydraulic crimping tool provides trouble-free operation with more crimps per charge, an ergonomic design and a 14.4V nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) battery. The high-speed hydraulic pump generates six tons of crimping force for use on many styles of connectors.
	With superior-strength machine aluminum, the BURNDY® ENFORCERTM model HIW716ENF is the lightest and strongest 7/16-inch hydraulic impact wrench on the market. With its unsurpassed 515 foot-pounds of torque, the ENFORCERTM simplifies and expedites hole drilling as well as hardware tightening/loosening.
	With four interchangeable cutting blades, the BURNDY® PATHCC10 is an innovative, compact and mobile tool that can be customized for varied applications. With the PATHCC10's unique C-head, you don't need to release a latch before scooping and cutting.
	The BURNDY® single-acting Y60BHU and double-acting Y6BHU-D HYPRESSTM tools provide fast, easy operation with durability and long life expectancy. Both tools accommodate the same L dies designed for copper and aluminum code cables, aerial conductor sizes through 2500 kcmil and ACSR through 2156 (84/19) str.
